Scott Brown is the Head of TV and Audio Products at Nielsen. In this role, he is responsible for the overall strategy and P&L across Nielsen’s core businesses - TV, Audio, and Ad Intelligence measurement. Most recently, he led the product transformation of Nielsen’s Local TV business, integrating a big data solution while retiring the legacy application suite.
Since joining Nielsen in 2009, Scott has held various roles across product management and technology. He led Nielsen’s buildout of its Total Audience products, which brought together measurement across mobile, computer, and connected TV’s for the first time.
Most recently, he served as Watch CTO and spearheaded Nielsen Media’s cloud migration efforts, which set a modern foundation for the platform that now underpins the products that he leads. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President, Technology and Strategy, where he led product development and the transformation into an agile and DevOps driven operating model.
Scott is passionate about leadership development and providing mentorship to youth. He has served as the Nielsen Media’s Business Champion for Nielsen’s Emerging Leaders Program and is an executive sponsor of Nielsen’s “N-Gen”, an employee resource group that connects associates of all generations, backgrounds and experiences. Scott also works closely with Think Big for Kids, an organization that is part of Boys & Girls Clubs that helps underprivileged youth discover their potential by providing a structured mentorship and career development program.
Scott attended the University of Florida and earned a B.S. in Finance and M.S. in Information Systems. He was recently named a “Top 40 Under 40” honoree by The Tampa Bay Business Journal. Outside of work, you can find Scott spending time with his wife, Melanie, and their two baby girls, Gabrielle & Camille.
