Rick Ely is a marketer and a brand builder with over 20 years marketing experience across a diverse set of brands and challenges. He is currently the leader for the Global Marketing team at JOHNSON & JOHNSON® responsible for a $4B collection of brands called the Essential Health franchise. His team owns strategy, innovation, and brand building for all brands that compete in the Baby Care / Oral Care / Wound Care categories, including brands like JOHNSON’S® Baby, LISTERINE®, and BAND-AID®.
Rick has been with Johnson & Johnson since 2005. He has spent the last 14 years leading brands across Skin Care, Oral Care, Wound Care, and Baby Care. He has also worked in a combination of local / regional / global roles with over 7 years in US marketing and a 3-year international assignment leading the Oral Care / Wound Care businesses for Asia-Pacific based in Singapore. His most recent role, Rick led the Baby Care Global Franchise team where he was responsible for the relaunch of JOHNSON’S® Baby, the largest and most global brand at JOHNSON & JOHNSON®.
Before J&J, Rick began his brand management career at Kraft Foods working in a marketing team for ALTOIDS. Rick is a graduate of University of North Carolina (MBA).
