The Association of Communication Agencies of Russia (AKAR) is a non-profit organization established in 1993 and uniting 200 professional players in the Russian communications services market. Being one of the largest associations of local advertising industry, the Association is actively involved in the development of industry self-regulation. It contributes to building effective communication between agencies and advertisers, creates industry-specific significant products and conducts market research.
The RusBrand Association was established in 2002. RusBrand is the largest Russian association of manufacturers of well-known brands and consumer goods, uniting 59 leading domestic and international companies. RusBrand’s activities are focused on maintaining a constructive dialogue with all participants of the advertising market and state authorities, forming a competitive media market, supporting and strengthening the role and importance of brands for the development of advertising industry and economy as a whole.
The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB Russia) is part of the international network of IAB associations aiming to ensure growth and development of the interactive advertising market. IAB branches successfully operate in more than 40 countries on 4 continents. In Russia, the Association unites more than 460 leading Internet sites, agencies and technology companies. IAB Russia pays great attention to educational activities. Annually, it serves as a platform for the development of industry standards, conducting industry research and holding events, including MIXX Conference and MIXX Awards.
The National Association of Visiual Communications (NAVC) brings together professional operators of outdoor, transit and indoor advertising. Our mission is to become a general coordination center aimed to create new industrial standards, to form the agenda and to provide a platform for discussing hot-button issues of regulation.
The Russian Brand Consultancies Association (RBCA) is a leading non-profit organization representing the interests of Russian brand consultancies engaged in the development of consumer, corporate, industry, regional and national brands. The round table of market leaders, renowned industry experts.
The mission of RBCA is to improve Russia’s brand reputation on the domestic and foreign markets through forming individual Russian brands’ reputation.
The Association was founded in 2009 and currently includes 94 agencies from 22 cities — Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Abakan (Khakassia), Blagoveshchensk, Vladivostok, Volgograd, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnodar, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Novoulyanovsk, Pskov, Rostov on Don, Ryazan, Tolyatti, Tomsk, Tyumen, Ufa, Chelyabinsk from 7 Federal districts of Russia: the Central FD — 50, the Northwestern FD — 19, the Siberian FD — 5, the Southern FD — 3, the Far Eastern FD — 3, the Volga FD — 8, the Ural FD — 6.
Many of them are winners of different prestigious Russian and foreign awards such as Red Apple, Cannes Lions, Red Dot, Epica, Eurobest, Dieline Award etc.
The Russian Association of Marketing Services (RAMU) was founded in 2001. It unites the strongest Russian agencies specializing in various areas of marketing services: Consumer Promotion, Sales Promotion, Event Marketing, Trade Marketing (Merchandising), Direct Marketing/CRM, Sports Marketing and Digital Marketing. The Association’s task is to protect the interests of the marketing services industry and to provide for its development. The Association of Communications Directors and Corporate Publishing of Russia, AKMR, was established in October of 2004. It is the only professional association of top managers in corporate communications and media, an initiator of unique media competitions and awards. The activities of the Association are about holding events aimed at interaction and exchange of experience of its members in the field of intra-corporate and external communications. Besides, AKMR cooperates with educational institutions on training programs for specialists in the field of corporate communications and media.
The Russian National Association of Broadcasters (NAT) was founded in 1995. It is the largest industrial non-profit association of broadcasters in Russia. The association protects its members from the date of its foundation. It has representatives in all industrial workgroups, committees, commissions, including Governmental Commission of broadcasting development. It organizes such TV events as the festival of kids television «Vklyuchaysya!» («Join Us!»), the International NAT Congress, the Zworykin Award, the Golden Ray Award in pay-tv market.

The Union of Publishing Industry Enterprises (GIPP) (earlier — the Publishers’ Union GIPP) was created in September 1998 by the initiative of a number of leading Russian publishers. Today, GIPP comprises more than 350 companies, including 250 regional ones. GIPP members produce more than 2,500 print media titles, including the leading daily newspapers and also consumer, business, scientific, children’s, entertainment and industry-specific magazines.
In 2018, the organization expanded significantly. GIPP was enlarged with the Association of Distributors of Printed Products, the Publishers’ Union NAI, the Union of Paper Wholesalers, the Interregional Association of Polygraphists.
The main goal of GIPP is to create favorable conditions for the development of the publishing business in Russia. GIPP initiates and launches industry projects in the areas of distribution, industry statistics, advertising and media measurements, industry education, printing and paper; provides publishers with a variety of services.
The Advertising Council, a Marketing Industry Association self-regulating organization, was founded in 2018 to develop processes of self-regulation in the field of advertising in Russia.
Sergey G. Pilatov was elected Chairman of the Board.
Large federal and St. Petersburg industrial unions of advertisers, advertising distributors and producers are members of the Association.
Key tasks of the Association are:
  • forming standards and rules in advertising, initiating changes in Russian Code of advertising practice and marketing communications;
  • reviewing public complaints on misleading and dishonest advertising and other marketing communications;
  • reviewing controversies between companies in regards to improper advertising and marketing communications;
  • monitoring advertising to identify breaking of accepted advertising standards and the laws;
  • involving top experts in the field of advertising and marketing communications for settling disputes.

Association of Communications and Marketing Agencies (ACMA) is the most active and progressive professional association in advertising industry of Belarus.

ACMA is a member of EACA (European Association of Communications Agencies).

ACMA is a strategic partner of ACAR (Association of Communication Agencies of Russia), VRK (All-Ukrainian Advertising Coalition), RAMU (Russian Association of Marketing Services) and CAA (China Advertising Association).

ACMA is an official representative of festivals KIAF, Wow Done, Ad Black Sea, organized by All-Ukrainian Advertising Coalition, Russian national festival Idea!, festival of marketing services Silver Mercury, festival of territorial marketing Open Volga, Latvian Golden Hammer.

ACMA is the organizer of a number of industrial projects known in Belarus and far beyond its borders.

Russian Public Relations Association was founded in 1991 as a public non-commercial organization with legal entity rights.

Mission of the Association is consolidation of separate PR market participants’ efforts for solving questions relevant for the whole industry.

Targets of the Association:

  1. Creation of PR industry infrastructure for wide and effective development of the field.
  2. Protection of PR industry as a whole and its separate participants.
  3. Introduction of professional and ethical norms into the practice and business circulation within the industry, as well as control over their implementation.
  4. Development of HR potential of PR industry, as well as improving higher education in the field.
