About the Indian Chapter .
Ten years before its establishment in July 1991, as a not-for-profit organization, the Indian Chapter of IAA was known as ‘Association of Persons.’
Over the last 37 years, the Indian Chapter of IAA has successfully developed and delivered many innovative programs and initiatives. One of its most prominent initiative was the advertising self-regulation movement in the country, which also gave birth to the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI). The IC-IAA has constantly been at the forefront of representing the industry whenever there was perceived threat to freedom of commercial speech or on occasions that could hinder consumer choice.
Over the last few years, IC-IAA has been actively in action and has received tremendous attention from the global body. It was also felicitated as the best chapter on two occasions, in 2010 and 2014.
Initiatives like the Olive Crown Awards, Leadership Awards, and IndIAA Awards are considered industry benchmarks where the entire industry participates. IAA also is known for its high-profile Debates, Conversations, industry specific Seminars and Emerging Agencies Conclave, all seen as both interesting and illuminating.
